We had a great time with our new friends at the Ka Pu’uwai ‘O Hawai’i – The Hawai’i Club of North Carolina. It started on Friday, September 14 and went until Sunday September 16th.

We had an incredible time, we ate ono kalua pig and had a late potluck lunch with the members of the club. Besides ono grindz and entertainment, we swam in the pool, played volleyball, and of course, talked story with everyone. We were definitely were the “malihini” (newcomer or visitor), but everyone was very warm and welcomed our family immediately.

We want to send out a giant mahalo to the club, and hope that you will have us back next year.

We are probably just like you, and are spending more time outside playing with the kids and swimming at our swimming pool, than posting here on our blog.

We will continue to post pictures and things as the summer progresses. Meanwhile, quit reading this post, go outside, and do SOMETHING!!!!! hehe…

We had a great time at the beach this past weekend. The weather was beautiful, and the water was not as cold as you would think that it would be for this time of year. James and Taylor went all the way in the water, and loved every minute of it.

We stayed at the Trinity Center Retreat at Salter Path, NC. We have stayed there once before, and we really like it. It is one of the best kept secrets of Atlantic Beach!

Taylor and Jamie got a new car for Easter, and here is some of the fun!

The kids have had a great time so far, and Easter is not even here yet. Here are some pictures.

Well, it is March and besides the winds and spring flowers it also means basketball in this house! Carolina Basketball! The heels did it today with a win against DOOK! This win which placed us at the top of the ACC tied with Virginia and a definite seed in the NCAA tournament!

With Spring coming soon, we thought we would brighten things up a little bit. We hope that you like the new template!

Taylor and Jamie had a great time playing in the snow. Taylor and Daddy had a snowball fight, Taylor won with a direct hit to the back of Daddy’s head!

The kids woke up the to first snow of the winter. Jamie had never seen the snow before, so this was really his first. He played a little, but did not really seem to understand what is was. Mommy had to go into work today because she works with a lot of people who seem to think that snow or bad weather should stop you from going to work. What a shame.

We know this is an old video now, but I just came across it on our camcorder. Taylor dressed up as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz.

After his visit from the jolly red guy, Jamie realized this was a man to know! He now points to Santa decorations and says “Santa”! When you ask him what does Santa say he replies with a cute litte “ho ho”!

We are proud of this new addition to Jamie’s budding vocabulary!

The kids struck it rich! Santa did a great job and we all loved what we got. Taylor and Jamie were such wonderful children this year. Taylor has been doing great job in Preschool, helping around the house, and helping with Jamie. Then, Jamie has been such a sweet baby boy and has being growing so big!

We hope that you got everything that you wanted and Santa was good to you.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

The kids had a great time unwrapping their presents and tracking Santa on TV. As you can see from the pictures the kids went crazy tearing to the presents and making a mess. Oh! to be a child again… We love our children so much and we are so blessed to have such sweethearts as these two.

We have said it before, but we wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Don’t take it for granted, tell your family and friends how much you love them and are blessed to have them in your life.

Taylor and Mommy made some delicious cookies in the kitchen. They had a great time and it made the house smell great.

We were out town and did not have time to blog, so Happy belated Festivus. It is the holiday for the rest of us. Luckily, the head of the household was not pinned to the floor and was able to hold on to his title for one more year.
