This is will the last post on this blog, as it is proving to difficult to move everything over to the new web host and new URL for our family blog. So, we have decided to retire this version to make room for the continuation of our Family Blog at a new Web Address and new web host.
I really don’t have anything against Paris Hilton, but I am kind of inclined to agree with this journalist, and say that there is MUCH more important news than Paris getting out of jail. Boo Hoo!
Microsoft has come out with a pretty cool table that can replace the normal computer that is in your living room. They have come out with a whole new way to interact with the table and not use a keyboard or mouse.
If you need another reason to be using Firefox, and you are a parent of children under 12, here it is. There is a new extension for Firefox that lets you create and/or approve websites that your children right in the browser. It also allows you to give the children their own username and password to allow different sites for different children.
My daughter is 4 years, and has already fallen in love with getting on the Internet with my wife and I. As she gets older, this will be an excellent tool to help us if we walk away for a few minutes.
This is a pretty alarming video of someone sitting in a hotel lobby where there is Free Wireless Internet for their customers, and a “Hacker” or “Hustler” as they are called in England is capturing all of their information. After capturing the information the Hustler uses it to make purchase large ticket items on the Internet.
I can not believe the attitude of TV Executives. If you do not stop your lives, and sit down when they want you to then to hell with what you will watch on TV. They are basically saying that if you want this show brought back, then do not record or Tivo the show, sit there when we tell you to, and watch the show live. Then, you have no way of not watching the commercials.
What would be the difference when people taped the show on VHS? All this shows the public is that you all are a bunch of greedy SOB’s!
Now for the disclaimer: I have not watched this show yet, as I have been caught up with others that I have been watching longer. But, any time that I see this type of bullying, it drives me crazy. I had planned on watch the show on DVD and catching up that way. Now only time will tell…
While I’m pleased to see the show renewed for at least 7 more episodes, I think CBS is a bit misguided on this point. If they need a larger audience, they can help themselves by not scheduling directly opposite American Idol and taking a 2+ month mid-season hiatus. Prior to the nuttiness, I would have also suggested advertising – but they’ve gotten a ton… 25 tons to be exact. And it wouldn’t hurt to figure out how to track time-shifted viewing. DVRs aren’t going away. Quite the opposite: Their penetration and usage will continue to increase.
I haven’t watched this show yet, but I must give it a try. This is incredible, and luckily the network has donated all of the “Protest Peanuts” to charity.
I think that this really neat. I had also seen on “I Want That!“, I believe, that you could get wall art of your DNA. You sent it in to a company that would take it from a swab that you rubbed on the inside of your cheek. Thay would make a full size poster and mail it back to you. It was very colorful, but expensive.

I can not say enough about what happened tonight. There must have a telephone troubles last night or all of the 8-12 year old girls had used up all of their text messages and could not vote for Sanjaya. But whatever the reason, it was a good one, he is gone.

I do not intend for this to become a “Anti-Sanjaya” blog, but I ran across this other article about this idiot, and found the last paragraph to be of particular interest.
“The result, thus far, is that Sanjaya has kept his spot on the show despite serious flack from the judges. Simon Cowell told “Extra” he would quit the show if Sanjaya won and Randy Jackson called one of his performances “unlistenable.”…”
This is hilarious!!!! What an idiot! He is completely oblivious to the fact that he is a terrible entertainer and the only reason he is there from week to week is that people are making fun of him. Thanks a lot Howard Stern. Good people are not getting votes and this jackass stays every week!
An interesting video clip from The O’Reilly Factor, about a lawyer that wants to consider legal action against Howard Stern and Votefortheworst.com. She claims that they are illegally influencing the show and more over the contestants, because they are calling for people to vote for Sanjaya Malakar. He is clearly the worst performer and lives in dream world. The premise is that good contestants are being kicked off, because Sanjaya Malakar is receiving so many votes and Howard Stern and others are mocking the show.
