James
We don’t eat eggs that much at our house, but we do like some scrambled eggs. Here is a good way to make scrambled eggs.

I found this pretty interesting, and find that I am guilty of this all the time.

We had a great time with our new friends at the Ka Pu’uwai ‘O Hawai’i – The Hawai’i Club of North Carolina. It started on Friday, September 14 and went until Sunday September 16th.
We had an incredible time, we ate ono kalua pig and had a late potluck lunch with the members of the club. Besides ono grindz and entertainment, we swam in the pool, played volleyball, and of course, talked story with everyone. We were definitely were the “malihini” (newcomer or visitor), but everyone was very warm and welcomed our family immediately.
We want to send out a giant mahalo to the club, and hope that you will have us back next year.
Here are some of the pictures from the setting up the Imu (underground ground oven) on Friday night.

My favorite cooking show right now has to be Everyday Italian with Giada De Laurentiis. Although, just between you and me, I don’t know if I have ever seen quite so many teeth before…

Here’s a compilation of Rachel Ray doing her thing. You see, the joke is that she thinks everything is just soooo good. So, someone compiled them all to make it funny.

Taylor and Mommy made some delicious cookies in the kitchen. They had a great time and it made the house smell great.

Well while the blog has been down this week, we have been busy cooking in the kitchen!
Taylor and I made chocolate covered pretzels with sprinkles on Monday. Then on Tuesday, I baked cookies for the annual cookie exchange at work. This year I made James’ choice of brownie cookies. Yesterday, we made Chex Mix and home baked bread for gift giving.

Here is a link to our Bread Maker at Amazon. It has turned out to the best maker I have ever owned. It is not a joke like some of the ones that end up at yard sales and thrift stores. You know the ones I’m talking about. If you were to think about what kind of bread it would make, you would not want to eat any of it. That is, if you could get the bread out of the mold. This bread just falls right out of the mold with a couple of shakes and it looks exactly like the picture above.
