I would like to start out by saying that I have the greatest wife in the WORLD!!! She would most CIA Agents to shame. She kept a secret for my birthday since January. Up until the day of my birthday, she was telling me that she HAD to go into work, but would try to get off early.
Well, on to what she did for my birthday… she rented me a 325 Horsepower, Black Convertible Shelby GT-H Mustang. It was the MOST Awesome thing in the WORLD. I absolutely love that car… It came as an automatic, but in this case, I think the car was still a lot of fun to drive. I rode around almost the whole day with the top down.
Thank you sweetie!!!!!
Pictures will be coming very soon!!!!

We don’t eat eggs that much at our house, but we do like some scrambled eggs. Here is a good way to make scrambled eggs.

I found this pretty interesting, and find that I am guilty of this all the time.

We had a great time with our new friends at the Ka Pu’uwai ‘O Hawai’i – The Hawai’i Club of North Carolina. It started on Friday, September 14 and went until Sunday September 16th.
We had an incredible time, we ate ono kalua pig and had a late potluck lunch with the members of the club. Besides ono grindz and entertainment, we swam in the pool, played volleyball, and of course, talked story with everyone. We were definitely were the “malihini” (newcomer or visitor), but everyone was very warm and welcomed our family immediately.
We want to send out a giant mahalo to the club, and hope that you will have us back next year.
Here are some of the pictures from the setting up the Imu (underground ground oven) on Friday night.

This is no longer gonna be called Thursday’s Favorites like on Thalia’s World because I never know what day I may decide to post on!
Taylor’s Current Favorites
Favorite Color Pink- no doubt
Favorite Show/Character-Adams’ Family
Favorite Outfit-This week was the monochromatic look. It was school spirit week at preschool which meant wearing a certain color each day. Miss Taylor had to wear only that color! So for blue-she wore blue shirt, blue jeans and blue crocs. Today was yellow and she was so upset she did not have any all yellow shoes!
Favorite Toy/Gadget – Computer but has enjoying outside play more this week.
Favorite Craft-Cutting and making cards for people are her favorite. She made the sweetest card for our dear neighbor who is moving this week.
Jamie’s Current Favorites
Favorite Color-Purple I think! When he sees purple he exclaims so excitedly “Purr-pull!”
Favorite Show-Yo Gabba Gabba (a new show on Nick Jr if you don’t know don’t ask!)
Jamie’s Favorite Outfit- His pirate hat and eye patch. He loves wearing it and saying “Arrgh!”
Favorite Toy/Gadget-His train table and Thomas trains
Favorite Craft-He is enjoying coloring more but he always turns the crayons into rockets and counts..”1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-tinnnn BLAST OFF!” and shoots the crayon up into the air.

Here are a few pictures from our last trip down to Atlantic Beach, although we went to the pool more than we went to the beach on this trip for some reason.
Just in case you were wondering… Jamie was out cold asleep during the fun.

We promise that we are doing stuff with Jamie as well, but this week Taylor got her first real “Big Kids” Bicycle, and she loves it. She would ride it for ever if we let her.
She has been such a good girl lately, and they are only children once. What kid doesn’t need a bike, huh?

On my blog, “Thalia’s World” I used to do a feature called “Thursday’s Favorites”, a list of the kid’s favorite things at the time. It’s not Thursday, but this list is long overdue.
Taylor’s Current Favorites
Favorite Color Pink- no doubt
Favorite Show/Character-Lola Bunny In Michael Jordan’s Space Jam
Favorite Outfit-Whatever she chooses at the moment. She can now reach the clothes in closet and loves putting together new outfits during the day. Usually several a day!
Favorite Toy/Gadget – Her computer with Glubble browser for children. She loves playing American Girl games online and doing the beauty studios in Barbie My Scene. It makes for a nice activity to do in the heat of the day when she can’t play outside.
Favorite Craft-Cutting right now is her favorite but she loves any craft that we do
Jamie’s Current Favorites
Favorite Color-Still Undetermined (maybe Carolina Blue!)
Favorite Show-Thomas The Tank Engine
Mommy’s Favorite Outfit for him- His surfing polo shirt with tan cargo shorts
Favorite Toy/Gadget-He really loves his Darth Vader Mask and Carolina Pom Pom he uses as a sword/ light saber.
Favorite Craft-He just started using the glue stick to stick things but he also has made a couple of wall scribbles (not out favorite that is for sure!)

We are probably just like you, and are spending more time outside playing with the kids and swimming at our swimming pool, than posting here on our blog.
We will continue to post pictures and things as the summer progresses. Meanwhile, quit reading this post, go outside, and do SOMETHING!!!!! hehe…
Here is a favorite quote of ours…
“While making living, do not forget to have a life!”, or something like that…

If you need another reason to be using Firefox, and you are a parent of children under 12, here it is. There is a new extension for Firefox that lets you create and/or approve websites that your children right in the browser. It also allows you to give the children their own username and password to allow different sites for different children.
My daughter is 4 years, and has already fallen in love with getting on the Internet with my wife and I. As she gets older, this will be an excellent tool to help us if we walk away for a few minutes.
Featured Firefox Extension: Approve sites your kid visits with Glubble – Lifehacker
Glubble – A new online experience for the entire family

I can not believe the attitude of TV Executives. If you do not stop your lives, and sit down when they want you to then to hell with what you will watch on TV. They are basically saying that if you want this show brought back, then do not record or Tivo the show, sit there when we tell you to, and watch the show live. Then, you have no way of not watching the commercials.
What would be the difference when people taped the show on VHS? All this shows the public is that you all are a bunch of greedy SOB’s!
CBS exec: Watch Jericho live if you want it to live – TV Squad
Now for the disclaimer: I have not watched this show yet, as I have been caught up with others that I have been watching longer. But, any time that I see this type of bullying, it drives me crazy. I had planned on watch the show on DVD and catching up that way. Now only time will tell…
Another quote I found at Zatz Not Funny!
While I’m pleased to see the show renewed for at least 7 more episodes, I think CBS is a bit misguided on this point. If they need a larger audience, they can help themselves by not scheduling directly opposite American Idol and taking a 2+ month mid-season hiatus. Prior to the nuttiness, I would have also suggested advertising – but they’ve gotten a ton… 25 tons to be exact. And it wouldn’t hurt to figure out how to track time-shifted viewing. DVRs aren’t going away. Quite the opposite: Their penetration and usage will continue to increase.
